Byjuno offers Swiss online retailers a flexible and consumer-friendly payment solution which can help them drive sales and access new customer groups.
E-commerce is on the rise in Switzerland, growing by 14 percent annually and already adding up to 14 billion Swiss francs per year. In April 2015 Byjuno, an Intrum Justitia subsidiary, based in Zug, Switzerland, launched a new payment and consumer financing solution which makes e-commerce even easier for both customers and merchants.
- We know from research and experience that invoice is the preferred choice by most Swiss online customers and Byjuno was developed together with e-merchants to meet that demand, says Christian Stolz, Managing director of Byjuno.
Byjuno offers customers the option to pay for their purchase by invoice and this can be applied in online stores as well as at the check-out counter at a physical store. Byjuno makes a very quick but thorough credit assessment of the customer with the help of Switzerland’s most comprehensive and reliable consumer credit database. Byjuno also offers the customers to pay in installments and manages the entire invoicing process including potential reminders and, if needed, collection services. The merchant stands no credit risk and can focus on managing the store and marketing.
- By making the payment process so much easier we help retailers increase sales and improve customer satisfaction. It also enables customers who previously perhaps couldn’t or didn’t want to shop online to do so, says Christian Stolz.
Today Byjuno has around 50 pilot customers and is only available in Switzerland. The ambition is however to over time expand Byjuno into other parts of Europe.
