The year was marked by a series of shocks that further intensified the already tumultuous situation. Soaring inflation, rising interest rates, falling property prices, and declining real wages.  

The year 2023 has been a rollercoaster ride for the global economy, with Europe experiencing significant economic pressure and uncertainty. Have we turned the corner yet? It could well be that the curve extends a bit into 2024. But as things stand today, 2024 will, in all likelihood, mark the beginning of the recovery.
