Intrum's Annual and Sustainability Report for 2021
Today we publish the Annual and Sustainability Report for 2021. Over the year, our focus has been on transformation through ONE Intrum and organic growth.
Events during the year
Despite the pandemic; a gradual improvement of the business climate
The macroeconomic environment benefited from the re-opening of society around Europe. Intrum’s clients and customers were increasingly optimistic about the near future, buoyed by increased consumption and renewed belief in economic growth. At the same time, Intrum’s business climate gradually improved during the year, which ended with a strong tail-wind.
ONE Intrum picks up pace
Becoming a truly global company, the prioritized ONE Intrum programme passed several milestones with standardised modern systems, processes and working methods to further strengthen value creation for our clients and customers.
Focus on transformation and organic growth
We have put strong efforts on driving transformation and building a sustainable foundation for organic growth, with increased activity among clients and positive servicing and investment opportunities.
Progress in sustainability
Intrum’s sustainability agenda received external recognition during the year in the form of strong ratings from Sustainalytics and Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI), among others.
In a time of uncertainty, we have implemented a large number of specific measures as part of our large-scale transformation that will ensure we are able to meet the future needs of our clients and customers. At the same time, we have taken care of day-to-day operations and continued to serve our clients and customers every day. Looking back, it is clear to me that we have done a good job, with a final spurt at the end of the year that managed to exceed expectations.Anders Engdahl, President and CEO of Intrum
